Brrrr It's Windy

Good day on a rather terribly windy day here in Yorkshire.
I must introduce myself,, I am Joanne, a mother to two very tall teenage boys who I have raised alone for almost 12 years. I have been gainfully employed for 6 years now and very much like my job. The only downside to being in work ,,, it means I don't have so much time to crochet.
Now this is a relatively new dilemma to me. I found or should I say rediscovered crochet after a tarot reading with a lovely lady.
I was never an avid crocheter but did it to spend time with my long departed grandmother.

The tarot reading suggested I needed a creative outlet. I considered sewing as I own a sewing machine and have cross stitched in the past.
Decided against that.
I didn't have any creativity with regard to painting etc.
But one day I stumbled upon my grandmas hooks and it ignited a little flame in me.

I tried learning from a book , but as a dyslexic I didn't do well with this.
Then idly searching for inspiration online a link to a YouTube video came up.

Well,, WOW and thank goodness.
I had a go.
It looked OK ish
I tried again and it looked a little better.

I then treated myself to a couple of easy grip hooks.

I was addicted!
Lets just say that a lot of people in the Sparkles family received crocheted gifts for Christmas 2014!

So onto my new venture which feels quite an ADventure really.
I have sold my first item that I have made. The hat am going to post on here.
I will admit I squealed a little when it sold and have been to buy some pretty tissue paper and a nice tag to decorate to attach to it.I found the instructions for this hat HERE and they were free.

So I hope to keep this blog updated with things I make and when my Etsy shop of the same name is up and running I will let you all know.

Lots of love
Miss Sparkles xxxx
