brrrrr it's still chilly

Good evening you lovely lot.
I hope you are all keeping well and looking forwards to spring.
I got my new crochet magazine today. Mucho excitement to be had!

I really want to make a blanket and I figure if I start now it might actually look blankety by next winter!

Can't decide still on which type. Am leaning towards the granny square type as I can do a few squares hither and thither.
I shouldn't get too overwhelmed by it all then.

Can't tell you how much am looking forwards to seeing the bluebells in the woods in Ilkley within the next few weeks.

The aroma will be intoxicating.

Have been having an uber clear out at home. It's very cathartic. Have given away a lot of my unwanted stuff and sold a few bits too.
Have been good and kept the money for food instead of more yarn !

It was tough I can tell you!

A girl cannot live on creme egg biscuits though. For a plethora of reasons!

This is the first blog I have done on my phone so it may not be as pretty as usual and don't think I will be able to add any piccies.

But worry not , I am off at the weekend so will take lots and then visit my mama and borrow her computer.

With my crochet magazine today I got a free Tunisian crochet hook.
Have to get my head around it! It looks like a knitting needle at one end and a crochet hook at the business end!

It looks like you can make crochet the looks like knitting!

Some of the amazingly clever ladies in a group I am in on Facebook  have made some super gorgeous bits and bobs with this type of hook.

So..I promise on my next blog I will put piccies or things from this blog too.

Sending lots of glitter and huggles around the world.

Big love

Equinox,Eclipse and super moon all on the same day !!! Wooo Hooo

Good day you lovely lot.
I hope today finds you well.
Did any of you witness the eclipse yesterday?
I got some lovely views of it receding just before I went into work. Saw lots of photos of it all over Facebook too

Here are my efforts,, I just feel they would have been better if I could have gotten a little closer !!

If you screw up your eyes am sure you can just about see it!

**coughs**

Moving on...

I finally have broken the crochet drought.
I made a little face cloth for my mama.
Only thought about taking a photo of it after I had wrapped it up though!

Will upload the pictures next time !

durrr!

I finished season one of 24, it didnt end quite how I imagined I have to say.
No spoilers here but I then felt mildly compelled to try season two !

Hopefully this will tide me over until possibly my favourite show comes back in May

Sorry the screenshot is a tad naff!

But woo blooming hoo
season 6 ended on an uber cliff hanger!

50 Days and counting!

phew

Had a lovely meal out last night with all my work mates. We went to The Yeadon Stoops
Its a Beefeater type place,
I had Piri Piri chicken and it was quite delightful.

Didnt have pud either!

Have found a lovely Nice news type article for you all today

Have a look HERE
I will be venturing into the woods very soon to see the amazing spread of Bluebells. Cannot wait.
Scenes like that can make anyone a good photographer.

I saw an amazing sunset the other day whilst sitting in traffic, the sun just disappeared behind the buildings..
I promise I was stationary when I took these pictures !

Its moments like those when you can marvel at the amazingness of nature!
you dont need to be on the top of an amazing mountain, or looking out over a stunning ocean.
Just sitting in traffic on your daily commute can do the trick.

Flitting back to my CRO-JO... I really want to make a blanket but am torn between the granny square type blanket shown here..
or one called a C2C or corner to corner blanker like this one..
I think the C2C one will develop quicker but the granny square one I can do a square here and there xxx

Any thoughts folks?

Hmm
well I feel like I have waffled enough for now, And as always my dyslexic brain has whizzed from one thing to another and then off at a tangent!

So thank you all for bearing with me and please share to spread my words around the virtual world !

Sending lots of love and hugs to you all

Its been a while

Good morning you lovely lot. I do hope you had a lovely weekend.
Mine was spent working but that's ok.
I had a nice week off a little while ago. Did alot of vegging out really. very relaxing.
Did a little walk with my mama. We walked from her house for 2 1/2 miles along the river before turning back. So we covered around 5 miles.
we did spot some very clever craft sheep.. or at least the results of their hard work...
see,,, even the sheep are catching on to what we do with their wool!

saw a pretty little waterfall too
It was quite was quite a breezy day but we enjoyed our speed soup when we got home!

I have to admit to have seriously lost my CRO-JO at the MO

But am working on regaining it .
have a little WIP going on,, that's crochet slang for 'Work in Progress'
fingers crossed it will be successful.

Will keep you all posted.

In other news I managed to get through 5 seasons of ALIAS and I LOVE LOVE LOVED it.
I actually wept a little at the end.

I was at a bit of a loss then, it left a hole!

I am tentatively working my way through season one of 24... am reserving judgement. I have to say I don't think I have seen anything with Keiffer Sutherland in when he obeys the rules!

I have been having some nice kitty snuggles this week.
She helps to keep my legs warm too !

She doesn't seem to mind what I watch though , which is nice!

Found these lovely crocuses smiling at me the other morning. How pretty are they..

Sigh,, spring is coming

YAY

I was going to put some nice news on today but have a little tale to tell myself.

As you may or may not know it was my mamas birthday a little while ago.
She has several siblings and one of their cards didn't arrive.

moving on a week or so, a card arrives wrapped in red paper from darn sarf!

inside it was the card for my mum from my aunt and a little note.
Now the envelope my aunt had written out was perfectly addressed and clearly written but somehow it had been delivered to a house near Reading !

The lady who received it was so very kind to pop it back in the post and it eventually made it back to Yorkshire!
ANd making full use of modern technology and social media my mama found the kind lady and thanked her in person!

SO,, doesn't that make you smile.
There are some lovely people in the world.

So on that note I will sign off sending Love and Snuggles to each and everyone of you
