Phew quite a week !!

Good afternoon you lovely lot

how is your bank holiday weekend going?

The sun is desperately trying to shine here in Yorkshire.

How was your week? 

Mine has been long and a tad heavy !

I worked an early shift on Monday so 6.45 until lunch time!

Then Tuesday to Thursday I felt like a proper commuter. Had to get the train into Leeds at rush hour!

That was a joy I can tell you.

I spent those three days in a classroom with around 25 other grown ups.

We were all there learning how to be Union reps !

Now I do not in any way shape or form consider myself to be particularly politicised but it was interesting being surrounded by some people who obviously get a lot of issues with the management of their companies.

I felt a little bit of a fraud in some  ways because the company I work for are pretty good and I don't personally know of many grievances or disciplinary things going on.

I did finish those three days feeling grateful for more things than when I went in.

I live in a country that gives workers rights, and also the right to protest and protect their livelihoods

I am also grateful for the company I work for being a good employer in general.

One thing that tickled me here was this...

The mind boggles !

The building was in a quite nice setting though,, here is the view through the window!

My Friday consisted of more training, but this was for advancement in my workplace.

All good stuff though

Am just in the process of printing out some more crochet pattern things

Am just at a crossroads at the moment and don't know which thing to crochet next !!

DILEMMAS

I had a little moment of Glee this week.. little things and all that !

A very good friend of mine had managed to get hold of a compost bin for me,, and on top of all that my recycling bins were delivered !

OMG that did induce a couple of little squeals !

I do have a photo of my recycle bins,, but for some reason blogger cannot find it on my phone !

So here is a picture of a clock near Leeds Train Station !!

Vegetables and digging!

Good afternoon you lovely lot

How is the weekend treating you all?

Well I hope.

I have had a week of early shifts,, yawns,, 6.45am is nice and quiet but has sent me to bed early!

One night I slept from 8pm to 5am ,, not waking at all !!

I have managed to do a few things this week,, one was digging some of the turf up in my garden to make a little vegetable patch!

here is the progress so far...

So I have planted some spuds, onions, spring onions, leeks and peas,, oh and some sweet peas mixed with the pod peas too

yummy !

I also got a couple of pretty hanging baskets and some strawberries and mint too

  

I do like a bargain it has to be said,, and so when I saw some grow pots with peppers and cucumber in at 50p a go I couldn't resist,

the cucumber is coming up already !

Super exciting !

So that was my week so far...

Tonight I am venturing to the mother land,, it is my Uncle Johns birthday so my mama and I are going to Hull .

I will get a couple of snaps am sure !!

Bluebells galore

Good morning you lovely lovely lot

I do hope Thursday finds you well

I took a little walk in the woods on Sunday Morning and wow it was stunning.

the dampness of the moment did not take away from the spectacular blue carpet that greeted me.

The only thing was that the wet weather had done was lessen the impact of the delightful aroma.

The lack of sparkly sunlight lessened the ethereal impact but I still LOVED it.

I took a few snaps.......

it was a damp day though, not the best day for bicycles to be flying through our village.

they braved it though!

It was also perfect weather to make soup so I did just that

 It was a hearty concoction,, slimming world speed soup.. delicious

I also have seen the new Avengers film Age of Ultron

OMG it was stupendous

I went on opening night and went VIP

If you love those sort of films you simply MUST go see it.

I insist!!

In TV news... I just watched the episode of Greys Anatomy 

serious sob fest..red eyes galore

I wont issue spoilers  but if you are a fan you will totally know what I mean.!!!

I reached for the tissues!

My crojo is coming back slowly after my house move. I love the new place and it 

is all sorted . Its cosey and cute and my crochet stuff is all accessible.

So the time is right.

I did a little bit of crochet on Sunday,

I met a boy who I like, and I crocheted his Initial

He doesn't live near me so that's OK as we can get to know each other slowly.

He is from up north originally and all his family are still here .

He visited last week ,, 

He is sweet though and he makes me smile,.,.,. oh and he cuts hair,.,always useful !!

time for some positive news and in light of my blog today this one seems rather splendid

Goodness is spring springing yet???

Soo good evening you lovely lot.
How are we all ?
Much better than this poor confused weather I hope.

I must make my pilgrimage to the woods on Sunday morning to see the bluebells , hopefully before any pelotons whizz most hastily through Ilkley.

My lovely granny blanket is coming along nicely and I will get some photos on here ASAP.

Having moved into my new place less than two weeks ago I love it plus have collected my yarn stash and it looks pretty nice!

I just need to complete my blanket first as am going to raffle it for macmillan.

Am itching to start another little thing ..A lovely lady I work with wants me to crochet her a little robot. I got a cute book called crobots.
It's super-duper cute and they are all cutey pies. Want to crochet them all!

Sigh.

So many things to crochet and so little time!

Anyone else ever get this dilemma?!?!?!

So sorry this is a little short ..I felt like I was being remiss.

But I pinky promise I will be back and raring to go within the week.
