Pay It Forward

Hello you lovely lot. Sorry no blog for a while... sadly it is RIP laptop . Sigh

*cough* moving on..

The title of toady's blog is also the name of a film.

The reason for the title is because towards the end of last year a little Pay It Forward post  was going around Facebook. A girl I was at Senior school with asked for people to state 'I am in' if you believed in the principle.

Well in the post yesterday came my pay it forward treat.

How exciting indeed. It has reminded me to contact the five people who responded to my reposting of that post and get a nice little treat out to them.

This morning i treated myself to a nice cup of peppermint tea in my new cup AND I took it back to bed and finished the book I had been reading.

The book was called Murder 101 By Faye Kellerman

It is one of her books with the main characters Peter And Rina Decker . He is a detective.

The story was quite convoluted and I kept having to reread bits as there were alot of characters to keep up with. I enjoyed it nonetheless as I have a good few years invested in Peter and Rina's lives.

In other news I lots my CRO-JO a little but am hoping to find it this weekend as next weekend is mamas birthday so want to make her something.

TV news, The BLACKLIST is back next Friday which is rather marvellous news. James Spader as Raymond Reddington is a delight .

Then next Saturday The Following is back too. 

Kevin Bacon AND James Purefoy.

Sighs !

Cant believe its Sunday already!

It only seems two minutes since it was last Sunday.. time goes nowhere sometimes!
I had an OK week for the most part.
went to Pontefract on Wednesday and on the way back , my boss and I saw 7 Red Kites.

They looked stunning and were flying quite low so we could see their belly feathers!
Unfortunately on Wednesday night I started with a Sicky sick sick bug.. I missed a day of work which am not happy about but I was terribly unwell.

Hey ho, am on the mend now thankfully.

Exciting news,,, Yesterday I sold my first crocheted item. The Purple bobble hat here..

I presented it to her looking like this..

The lady who bought it was thrilled and asked me to make here a matching ear warmer and a contrasting infinity scarf.
I made the ear warmer last night. Its cute. The challenge with the scarf is that it has to bring together the purple of the hat and the orange of the ladies coat!
A minor conundrum!
So am working this afternoon , its meant to be my weekend off but my boss asked me to help out.
my next day off is Friday so will look forward to that.

I found a cute hat pattern to crochet but its done in the amigurumi style so am just waiting for some stitch markers to arrive that I have ordered from eBay.
My previous attempts at this style have not been that successful if am honest!

I will of course keep you all posted.

3rd time is the charm??

Well good evening you delightful bunch, I do hope groundhog day was ok for you.
This is my third attempt to write a new blog post,, I shall not bore you with all of the gruesome details. Suffice it to say, it has been a challenging few days!

For any of you folks out there who have any experience with Asperger syndrome, you may well understand my stressful Wednesday evening.
For some reason my fibre optic broadband went down and my big lad who has the afore mentioned syndrome went into what is commonly referred to as a melt down.
His computer is his "THING" so my living room door now has a new hole in it!

Thankfully when I woke on Thursday morning , all seemed to be right with the world once more.

Wednesday evenings post was lost in that melee!


Thursday night was calm and an early night!
Friday night was our competition win celebration and I was the taxi for a few of my colleagues. Am not a huge drinker so I didn't mind one bit. just getting home at 1.30am is WAYYYYY past my bedtime!
Full day at work Saturday. But I fantasized about being reunited with my bed.
But these dreams were scuppered because big lad was at a house party and I had to collect him at 11pm


Major yawns by this point!

Sunday was my baby's 15th birthday. When I got in from work we went to The Jewel Of India in Otley for our tea.
It was scrumulitious as always! And they had put balloons and a banner up and sang Happy Birthday to him too.
he did blush!

Day off today,,,,, phew.

I took myself off into Bradford and was really good, I climbed the 82 steps up at Forster Square station instead of taking the lift.

Got the youngest ones phone upgrade sorted.

Did a little crochet this afternoon.
